5 Ways to Stay Healthy During Cold/Flu Season

Hello Everyone!

As we are now well into the month of October, the days are getting shorter and the weather is getting colder. This month marks the beginning of "cold and flu season," and lasts all the way until the month of May!

Have you thought about how you will plan to stay healthy this season???

Here are 5 simple ways to help you and your family survive the worst of cold and flu season:

1.) Wash your hands frequently- This is the most effective way to protect yourself from harmful germs. Lather with warm water for 15-20 seconds ;) Lather, rinse, repeat!

2.) Eat and drink plenty of Vitamin C- Keep up with your fruits and veggies. My kids aren't extremely into eating oranges, they don't like the citrus, so I put them on Shaklee's Chewable Vitamin C Tablets. One tablet is equivalent to eating one and a half oranges! They LOVE their vitamin C and get so excited to take them! There is also Vitamin C in the pill form available as well, check them out! Here are some recipes that include foods that are rich in vitamin C!

3.) Stock up on your Immune System Supporting Vitamins!- Don't forget to fill in nutritional gaps with immune supporting nutrients like Zinc and vitamins D, A, C and E. Studies have shown that nearly 20,000 Americans have low vitamin D levels, which increased their risk of catching a cold or the flu. Shaklee offers Nutriferon, this is a powerful formula that works at the cellular level by rapidly activating your immune systems defenses. My Hubby takes this whenever he's feeling a cold coming on and it knocks it out right away! Click here for more immune system supporting products! Also, don't forget to take your multi-vitamin everyday too!

4.) Bring on the garlic- Garlic is nature's little miracle that a lot of people don't know about. It acts as a natural antibiotic and boosts immunity naturally. So make sure to cook with lots of garlic this winter, or click here to learn more about Garlic Complex!

5.) Get enough Zzzz's- Studies show that people who get 7 hours or less of sleep each night made them 3 times more likely to get sick than people who receive 8 or more hours of sleep! CRAZY!

There are so many more ways of staying healthy during sick season, these are just a few of the most important. Visit my website for more information on the amazing selection of vitamins Shaklee has to offer to keep you and your family healthy during the crazy cold and flu season. No one has time to be sick!

Stay Healthy!

  3. Hi there this is kinda of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML.
I'm starting a blog soon but have no coding experience so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
